A Mathematical Proposal
Was just watching the movie "Harold and Kumar". There is this proposal at the end of the movie, which I have never seen in any other movie. The Hero proposes the girl with a mathematical poem. Thought I would share the poem. Interesting one. Had to play, stop and rewind the clip several times to note down the poem. This is how it goes
I fear that I will always be
A lonely number like root 3,
A 3 is all that's good and right,
Why must my 3 keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square-root sign.
I wish instead that I were 9
for 9 could thwart this evil trick
with just some quick arithmetic.
I know I will never see the sun
as 1.7321.
Such is my reality,
a sad irrationality.
When hark, is what I see,
another square root of 3
is quitely convulsing by,
together now we multiply
to form a number we prefer,
rejoicing as an integer
We break free from our mortal bonds
and with a wave of magic wands
the square root signs become unglued
and love for me has been renewed..
Till Next Time

Hi ,
I was reading ur blog posts and found some of them to be very good.. u write well.. Why don't you popularize it more.. ur posts on ur blog ‘THE SBU’ took my particular attention as some of them are interesting topics of mine too;
BTW I help out some ex-IIMA guys who with another batch mate run www.rambhai.com where you can post links to your most loved blog-posts. Rambhai was the chaiwala at IIMA and it is a site where users can themselves share links to blog posts etc and other can find and vote on them. The best make it to the homepage!
This way you can reach out to rambhai readers some of whom could become your ardent fans.. who knows.. :)
Cheers,
@ray
thanks for the appreciation and suggestion. will try out the site for sure.
coolsome !
